Youth Charged in Connection with Serious Assault in Corner Brook

(Corner Brook, NL), March 12, 2024 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has arrested and charged a 15-year-old boy after another boy sustained serious injuries at a home in Corner Brook.

Patrol officers responded to Western Memorial Regional Hospital at 10:45 p.m. on Monday (March 11) after receiving a report that a boy had sustained serious injuries during an event at a residence in Corner Brook. The responding officers determined that a 15-year-old boy involved in the event remained at the residence where the disturbance occurred.

A short time later, the 15-year-old boy was arrested by patrol officers, and will be held in custody to appear in Provincial Court in relation to charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failure to comply with court orders.
