UPDATE – RNC Search for Wanted Individual

Please note that since this release was sent out , officers arrested  Dominic DELISLE on Torbay Road in St. John’s. DELISLE fled from police in a vehicle initially but was apprehended a short time later. In addition to the outstanding charges as part of the arrest warrant, he is now further charged with Flight from Police and Dangerous Driving.

 

(St. John’s, NL), April 9, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services Division is continuing to search for a man wanted in connection with a significant theft.

 On February 4, 2018, the RNC received a complaint from a woman who had rented a furnished condo to a man and woman in January of 2018. On February 4, 2018, the complainant discovered that the pair had moved out of the condo and taken all of the furnishings except a dishwasher, washer, and dryer.

 As a result of this investigation, arrest warrants were issued for the suspects. On Friday, April 6, shortly after 5:30 pm, members of RNC Operational Patrol Services Division arrested Sarah DANEAULT at a business in the east end of St. John’s thanks to a tip from the public. Dominic DELISLE is still wanted on charges of Theft Over $5000, Personation with Intent, and Uttering Forged Document.

 The RNC, with the assistance of Montreal RCMP and the Quebec City Police Department, have since located and recovered the nearly $30,000 worth of stolen property from a storage locker in Quebec City.
