RNC With Collaborative Effort In Arrest On Warrant

(St. John’s, NL), August 17, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) made an arrest in connection with an outstanding warrants on Monday evening.

On Monday, August 16, 2021, at approximately 5:00 pm, The RNC OPS responded to the Foxtrap area of Conception Bay South (CBS) in relation to a report of a wanted person in the area. On arrival, responding officers located a man who was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants walking in the area of the Foxtrap Access Road. The man immediately fled on foot, at which time RNC Police Dog Service was called to attend the area. Officers contained the area, and a short time later the wanted man was located and placed under arrest without incident.

RNC OPS executed the warrants in effect for the 30-year-old man from CBS, and he was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
