RNC Warning Public Following Property Theft

(St. John’s, NL), January 26, 2017 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is warning the public following the theft of personal property from a vehicle.

This afternoon, the RNC received a report from a member of the public that on Friday, January 19, 2018 their gym bag was stolen from a parked vehicle on Porters Road in Conception Bay South. The individual has told police that there were several prescription fentanyl patches inside of the bag when it was stolen.

The prescription fentanyl is clearly labeled and should not be used without the direction of a medical practitioner. We are warning any member of the public who comes into possession of such a drug, that its use could cause serious illness or death if used improperly.

Anyone who has information pertaining to this or any crime is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
