RNC Update on Homicide in Metro

(St. John’s, NL), April 7, 2020 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Major Crime Unit (MCU) have provided an update pertaining to the investigation in to a homicide in the Goulds area.

Investigators with the RNC MCU do not believe the circumstances which led to the death of a 20 year old man on April 2, 2020, to have been a random event. The Major Case Management team have indicated that they do not perceive a public safety concern in connection with this incident.

The investigation remains active, and investigators are still looking for CCTV or dash camera footage in the area prior to the police response.
