(St. John’s, NL), October 22, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) seized a vehicle following a traffic stop yesterday afternoon.

On Thursday, October 21, 2021, at approximately 2:00 pm, officers with the RNC OPS conducted a traffic safety stop with a vehicle on Water Street in St. John’s. Officers determined the vehicle was not insured.

As a result of the follow-up to the traffic stop, a 34-year-old male from Pouch Cove received summary offence tickets for operating a motor vehicle without an insurance policy, failure to transfer ownership of the vehicle, and providing an invalid insurance policy document. The vehicle was impounded from the scene.
