RNC Traffic Stop Results in Arrest

(St. John’s, NL), September 16, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) made an arrest following a traffic safety stop on Topsail Road in Paradise.

On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at approximately 8:10 pm, officers with the RNC OPS observed a dark coloured SUV driving aggressively on Topsail Road in Paradise. The patrol officer safely conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle a short distance away on Topsail Road.

As a result of the traffic stop, the officer confirmed there to be a warrant in effect for the arrest of the 48-year-old male operator of the vehicle. The male was taken in to custody in connection with the outstanding warrant and held to appear in Provincial Court.
