RNC Stops Uninsured Vehicle in Capital City

(St. John’s, NL), November 9, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) seized

On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at approximately 1:25 am, officers with the RNC OPS conducted a traffic safety stop with a vehicle in the area of Bannerman Street in St. John’s. The officer determined that the vehicle was being operated without a valid insurance policy, was not registered, and the owner had not transferred ownership of the vehicle.

The 35-year-old male operating the vehicle was issued summary offence tickets in relation to the Highway Traffic Act violations. The vehicle was seized and impounded from the scene.
