RNC Stop Suspended Driver in Metro

(St. John’s, NL), October 12, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) stopped a suspended driver in the metro region last night.

On Monday, October 11, 2021, at approximately 10:30 pm, officers with the RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) conducted a traffic safety stop on Robert E. Howlett Memorial Drive in St. John’s. Officers determined the driver had a suspended license, and was operating without an insurance policy or valid registration.

As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old male of Lewin’s Cove was issued summary offense tickets for the Highway Traffic Act infractions and his vehicle was impounded.
