RNC Stop Driver Without License Or Insurance in Metro

(St. John’s, NL), September 1, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) conducted a traffic stop in St. John’s which resulted in multiple tickets issued and a vehicle seized.

On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at approximately 1:50 am, RNC OPS conducted a traffic safety stop on Kenmount Road in St. John’s. The patrol officer was able to confirm that the operator of the vehicle did not have a valid driver’s license. In addition, the vehicle was being operated without an insurance policy.

As a result of the traffic stop, the operator of the vehicle was issued three summary offence tickets in connection with the Highway Traffic Act infractions. The vehicle was seized and impounded from the scene of the traffic stop.
