RNC Seize Vehicle on TCH

(St. John’s, NL), October 12, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) seized a vehicle following a traffic stop on Monday evening.

On Monday, October 11, 2021, at approximately 7:30 pm, officers with the RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) conducted a traffic safety stop on Trans-Canada Highway near Mount Pearl. Officers determined the vehicle was being operated without an insurance policy, vehicle ownership had not been transferred, and a false license plate was attached to the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old male of St. John’s was issued summary offense tickets for the Highway Traffic Act infractions and his vehicle was impounded.
