RNC Seize Vehicle Following Traffic Stop in Metro

(St. John’s, NL), February 18, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) seized a vehicle following a traffic stop in St. John’s overnight.

On Friday, February 18, 2022, at approximately 1:00 am, the RNC OPS conducted a traffic safety stop with a vehicle in the west end of St. John’s. The officer determined the operator did not have a valid driver’s license. In addition, the vehicle was being operated without an insurance policy and was unregistered.

As a result of the traffic safety stop, the 36-year-old male operating the vehicle was issued summary offence tickets for the infractions under the Highway Traffic Act. The vehicle was impounded form the scene.
