RNC Seize Multiple Vehicles in Corner Brook

(Corner Brook, NL), December 9, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) seized multiple vehicles in Corner Brook in the last 24 hours.

From the afternoon on Wednesday December 8, 2021, to shortly after midnight into December 9, 2021, officers with Operational Patrol Services in Corner Brook impounded four vehicles following traffic safety stops in the area.

Three vehicles stopped by officers in Corner Brook yesterday, between approximately 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm, were being operated without an insurance policy. Officers also identified various driver’s license and vehicle registration infractions. The vehicles were impounded from the scene of each traffic stop and the operators were issued summary offence tickets under the Highway Traffic Act.

Shortly after midnight, officers conducted a traffic safety stop with a vehicle on Herald Avenue. As a result, the 25-year-old operator of the vehicle was issued a 7-day driving suspension in relation to impairment by alcohol under the Highway Traffic Act. His vehicle was impounded from the scene.
