RNC Searching for Wanted Man in Connection with Robberies

(St. John’s, NL), November 20, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit is searching for Michael FOLLETT (92-Oct-11) who is wanted in connection with three recent robberies.

On Sunday, November 18, 2018, just before 4:00 pm, the RNC responded to the TD Bank on Gibson Drive in Mount Pearl after FOLLETT is alleged to have entered the bank with a knife and his face partially covered demanding cash. He fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of currency prior to police arrival. As a result of the investigation into this robbery, an arrest warrant has been issued for Michael FOLLETT.

Yesterday at approximately 8:45 am, the RNC were called to Needs on Merrymeeting Road following a report that a robbery had just occurred. The RNC responded to another report of a robbery at approximately 9:15 pm at  Irving Circle K on Waldegrave Street in downtown St. John’s. FOLLETT is also believed to be connected with both of these robberies.

There were no injuries sustained by anybody in the commission of either of these offences. The RNC considers Michael FOLLETT a danger to the public and are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to call police or Crimestoppers.
