RNC Search for Suspect in Theft of a Firearm and Ammunition.

(St. John’s, NL), August 6, 2017 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) wishes to advise the general public about the theft of a firearm and ammunition.

On August 6, 2017, RNC Patrol Services along with Forensic Identification Section responded to a business in the O’Leary Avenue area where it was reported that a person had just stolen a firearm and ammunition. Staff attempted to stop the suspect but the lone male fled the area in a vehicle.

The suspect is a male, described as thin build (approx. 5’8 to 5’10), 170 lbs, short dark hair and he was wearing jeans, a grey shirt with black sleeves and the brand name “Crooks and Castle” on the front of the shirt. He was also wearing a baseball hat.

The suspect vehicle is described as a gray or dark coloured, Honda Civic. The vehicle has no driver’s side mirror and damage to the driver’s side window.
