RNC Respond to Center City Robbery

(St. John’s, NL), April 21, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) are investigating an armed robbery, which occurred in center city St. John’s.

On Tuesday April 19, 2022, shortly after 3:20 pm, RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a report of an armed robbery which had just occurred at The Guv’nor on Elizabeth Avenue in St. John’s. Two male suspects entered the business, then presented a weapon while demanding cash. After obtaining some cash, the suspects fled on foot toward Anderson Avenue.

One male suspect was described to be tall, wearing a grey hoodie, ball hat and face mask. The other male was shorter, wearing black pants, and a grey and black sweater with a red t-shirt hanging underneath. Please view attached photographs of the suspects.
