RNC Requesting Assistance in Break and Enter Investigation

 (Paradise, NL), May 8, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) is investigating a break and entry at the Paradise Double Ice Complex on Sarah Davis Way.

 On Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at approximately 4:00 am, the RNC Operational Patrol Services, Police Dog Services, and Forensic Identification Services responded to a report that an entrance of the Double Ice Complex was damaged. On arrival, officers discovered significant damage to the entrance of the building. Through the course of the investigation it was determined that an ATM machine had been taken from the facility.

 Responding officers were informed that a four wheel All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) had been seen fleeing the area of the Double Ice Complex, travelling in the direction of Topsail. The RNC GIU are asking for the assistance of the public in this investigation, and request that anyone who may have surveillance footage in the area, or have observed anything suspicious on the Octagon Pond trail way or Shalloway Place, to please contact the RNC.
