RNC Requesting Assistance in Break and Enter Investigation

(St. John’s. NL), September 24, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) is investigating a break and entry at a convenience store in Conception Bay South (CBS).

On Friday, August 31, 2018 at approximately 4:50 a.m., officers with RNC’s Operational Patrol Services responded to a commercial burglar alarm at the Orange Store located at 705 CBS Highway in CBS. When officers arrived, they discovered a window had been smashed out and that a break and entry had occurred.

The suspect, who was wearing a black ball hat, and a plaid jacket, was not successful at stealing anything at the business and fled before police arrived. CCTV video from the business was collected by investigators and photos of the suspect are being released to the public in hopes of identifying him.

Anyone with information is asked to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.

Please see the attached three (3) photos of the suspect.
