RNC Request Assistance in Robbery Investigation

(St. John’s, NL), April 17, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the two men responsible for a robbery with violence in St. John’s.

 On Thursday, March 29, 2018, shortly after 6:30 pm, officers with RNC’s Operational Patrol Services Division and Forensic Identification Services responded to a robbery at Hillview Terrace apartments on MacDonald Drive in St. John’s. A woman reported that two men followed her to the apartment building and used force to remove a significant quantity of cash from her jacket pocket. The woman was not injured as a result of the incident, and the two men fled on foot prior to police arrival.

 The two men believed to be responsible for this robbery are both believed to be between 18 and 25 years of age. One man is approximately six feet tall, slim build, with a dark beard, and was wearing a plaid jacket. The other man was shorter with a heavier build, and was also wearing a plaid jacket.
