RNC Request Assistance in Robbery Investigation

(St. John’s, NL), July 19, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man responsible for an armed robbery at a convenience store in the east end of St. John’s.

On July 18th, 2018, at 10:00 p.m., members of the RNC’s Operational Patrol Services Division responded to an armed robbery at Breen’s Convenience on Logy Bay Road. A male suspect entered the store armed with a weapon and demanded cash. The suspect left the scene prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries as a result of the robbery.

The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male with a thin build and is approximately 5’9 with facial hair.

The RNC Criminal Investigation Division is continuing to investigate this armed robbery and is asking anyone who has information to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
