RNC Request Assistance in Armed Robbery Investigation

(St. John’s, NL), April 17, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the man responsible for an armed robbery in St. John’s.

 On Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at approximately 10:45 pm, officers with the RNC’s Operational Patrol Services Division, Police Dog Services, and Forensic Identification Services responded to an armed robbery at Ultramar, 102 Bay Bulls Road, in St. John’s. A man entered the business with a weapon and demanded cash. The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, and headed West on Old Bay Bulls Road. It is possible a vehicle was used to flee the scene.

 The man believed to be responsible for this armed robbery is described as 5’6” tall, and was wearing a black pull over jacket and a blue ski mask at the time of the offence.

 The RNC Criminal Investigation Division is continuing to investigate this armed robbery and is asking anyone who has information to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
