RNC Reminding the Public of Contact Information

(St. John’s, NL), August 4, 2017 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is reminding the public of the proper telephone numbers to reach police.

Due to a service interruption with telephone service across Atlantic Canada today, the RNC provided additional numbers and an email address that people could call in cases where 911 was not working. As of 4:00pm, all telephone services have been restored in Newfoundland and Labrador.

In the event of an emergency, please call 911. If you wish to make a non-emergency police complaint, please refer to the following numbers:

  • St. John’s & the Northeast Avalon: 709-729-8000
  • Corner Brook: 709-637-4100
  • Labrador City Detachment: 709-944-7602
  • Churchill Falls: 709925-3524

A complete list of contact telephone numbers for the RNC is available on our website at www.rnc.gov.nl.caabout-us/contact-directory.

We are reminding the public that 911 is for emergency calls only and that we do not accept any complaints via social media.
