RNC Release Photos of Robbery Suspect

(ST. JOHN’S, NL), November 1, 2019 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) is investigating a robbery which occurred at a jewelry store in St. John’s.

On Thursday, October 10, 2019, at approximately 4:00 pm, RNC operational patrol services division (OPS) responded to a report of a robbery at a jewelry store at the Village Mall in St. John’s. The suspect reportedly assaulted a clerk to obtain a piece of jewelry, then fled on foot. After exiting the mall, the suspect headed toward Columbus Drive. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is a man, described to be five feet and one inch tall, about 140 pounds, with tan complexion. He has short black hair and a short black goatee. He was wearing black sunglasses, a navy winter jacket, dark blue jeans and work boots at the time of the incident.
