RNC Release Photos of Bank Robbery Suspect

(St. John’s, NL), June 5, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man responsible for an armed robbery at a financial institution in Conception Bay South (CBS).

Today, just before noon, officers with RNC’s Operational Patrol Services, General Investigation Unit, Police Dog Services, and Forensic Identification Services responded to a report of an Armed Robbery at the Scotiabank located at 288 CBS Highway in CBS. An armed man, who did not have his face concealed, entered the bank with a weapon and demanded cash. The suspect fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash prior to the arrival of responding officers. There were no injuries during the commission of this offence.

The Caucasian man is described as being approximately 5’7” with a heavy built and possibly in his 60s. At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing blue jeans, a plaid jacket, and a baseball hat.
