RNC Police Studies Graduation Parade and Swearing- In Ceremony

(St. John’s, NL), October 19, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) and Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) are pleased to advise the media and members of the general public of the upcoming 2018 Police Studies Program Graduation.

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, the Graduation Parade and Swearing-In Ceremony will take place at the Field House at Memorial University of Newfoundland’s St. John’s Campus at 5:00 pm. Her Honour, The Honourable Judy M. Foote, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Honorary Chief of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and Dr. Gary Kachanoski, President and Vice-Chancellor, Memorial University of Newfoundland, will join RNC Chief of Police, Joseph Boland, to present the newest RNC Constables with their police badges.

This is the 14th class to complete the Police Studies Diploma Program in partnership with Memorial University. On Saturday, 15 new police officers join the over 500 women and men who work tirelessly to ensure safer and healthier communities every day in our province.

Members of the media are invited to join us as we celebrate these fine women and men on their graduation day. Media are asked to be in place no later than 4:45 pm.
