RNC Patrol Traffic Stop Results in Vehicle Impound

(St. John’s, NL), August 12, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) conducted a traffic stop in Torbay, which resulted in multiple tickets and impounding of a vehicle.

On Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at approximately 3:55 pm, RNC OPS conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Bauline Line in Torbay. As a result, officers found that the vehicle was not registered or insured, and the ownership of the vehicle had not been transferred.

The operator of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man, was issued tickets in relation to failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to transfer ownership of a motor vehicle, and operating a vehicle without an insurance policy. The vehicle was impounded as a result of the Highway Traffic Act infractions.
