(St. John’s, NL), August 12, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested a youth in St. John’s overnight.
Just after midnight on August 12, 2021, RNC OPS responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence in the Southlands area of St. John’s.
At approximately 4:50 am, patrol officers effectively conducted a traffic stop with the stolen vehicle, placing a youth operating the vehicle under arrest. As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old female has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle. She was released to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.
