RNC Patrol Impound Vehicle After Traffic Stop

(St. John’s, NL), August 25, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operation Patrol Services (OPS) impounded a vehicle last night as a result of a traffic stop in St. John’s.

On Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at around 11:00 pm, RNC OPS conducted a traffic safety stop with a vehicle in the area of Bay Bulls Road in St. John’s. As a result, the officer confirmed that the woman operating the vehicle did not have a valid driver’s license. In addition, the operator did not have proof of insurance and the vehicle was not registered.

The 29-year-old woman operating the vehicle was issued summary offence tickets for the Highway Traffic Act infractions, and her vehicle was impounded from the scene.
