RNC Make Arrests Following a Theft in Corner Brook

(Corner Brook, NL), January 13, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services arrested two individuals following a theft at a business in Corner Brook Thursday morning..

On Thursday, January 13, 2022, at approximately 9:40 am, RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a report of a theft, which had just occurred at a business in the area of Murphy Square in Corner Brook. Responding officers were informed that a male and female had fled the business on foot with valuable merchandise.

Officers with RNC OPS, with support from Corner Brook RCMP, collaborated to locate the suspects, placing both individuals in custody a short time after police response.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 37-year-old male from Corner Brook has been charged with theft, and a 27-year-old female from St. John’s has been charged with theft and breach of court order. Both accused individuals have been released to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
