RNC Make Arrest Related to Impaired Driving in Metro

(St. John’s, NL), February 10, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested a male in connection with impaired driving in Paradise on Wednesday evening.

On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at approximately 10:00 pm, officers with RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a report of possible impaired driver in the area of Topsail Road in Paradise. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle a short time later in a residential area of Paradise, identifying the operator of the vehicle.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 51-year-old male from Paradise was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refusal to provide a breath sample, and failure to comply with a court order. The accused was released from custody to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.
