RNC Make Arrest Related to Graffiti in St. John’s

(St. John’s, NL), May 17, 2023 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) made an arrest connected to property damage by graffiti in downtown St. John’s.

On Sunday, May 14, 2023, the RNC Operational Patrol Services Division (OPS) responded to a report of property damage in progress in the downtown area of St. John’s. The officers determined that private property in the downtown area of St. John’s had been covered with spray paint. Responding officers located an individual who was believed to be responsible for the damage in the downtown area.

As a result of investigation into the event, an 18-year-old male from Portugal Cove – St. Philips was charged with mischief by damaging property. The accused was released to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.
