RNC Make Arrest On Impaired Driving Offences

(St. John’s, NL), September 29, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational patrol Services (OPS) arrested a male in Conception Bay South (CBS) in connection with impaired driving offences.

On Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at approximately 9:30 pm, officers with the RNC OPS responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on CBS Highway in the Manuels area of CBS. The responding officer conducted a traffic stop with the suspect vehicle on CBS Highway a short time later.

As a result of an investigation, a 43-year-old male from Ship Cove was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and refusal to provide a breath sample. He was issued a summary offence ticket for operating without a valid driver’s license, and his vehicle was impounded. The accused was released to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.
