RNC Make Arrest Following Threats In Metro

(St. John’s, NL), August 19, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) made an arrest in the east end of St. John’s after responding to a report of uttering threats.

On Wednesday, August 18, 2021, just after 3:20 pm, The RNC OPS responded to a residential area in the east end of St. John’s after receiving reports of a man uttering threats. On arrival, responding officers located the man believed to be responsible for the event.

Following an investigation in to the matter, RNC OPS arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with the incident. The man was charged with criminal harassment, uttering threats, resisting arrest, and breach of court orders. He was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
