RNC Make Arrest Following Shopping Mall Theft

(St. John’s, NL), August 12, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested a woman following a theft at the Avalon mall yesterday evening.

On Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at approximately 8:30 pm, RNC OPS responded to a report of a theft in progress at the Avalon Mall in St. John’s. On arrival to the area, a woman was placed under arrest in connection with the incident.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 31-year-old woman from St. John’s was charged with theft and breach of court orders. The woman was held to appear in Provincial Court.
