RNC Make Arrest Following Incident in Conception Bay South

(Conception Bay South, NL), January 26, 2019 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) have arrested a man in connection with an incident in Conception Bay South.

This morning, just before 4:00 am, officers with RNC Operational Patrol Services Division, Forensic Identification Services, Criminal Investigation Division, Police Dog Services, Tactics and Rescue Unit, as well as RNC and RCMP Explosives Disposal Unit responded to the Bayview Heights area in Conception Bay South. Reports were received of a man in distress inside of a residence.

Following a peaceful resolution just before 2:00 pm today, a 26 year old man was arrested without incident. The man will be charged with possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose, careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm contrary to court order, and breaches of court order. The man also has outstanding warrants for his arrest. He will be held to appear in Provincial Court tomorrow.
