RNC Make Arrest Following Disturbance at Residence

(St. John’s, NL), September 15, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational patrol Services (OPS) arrested a male following a disturbance at a residence in Portugal Cove-St. Phillips (PC-SP).

On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at approximately 10:15 pm, officers with the RNC OPS responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in PC-SP. On arrival, officers located a female at the residence. A male had left the area prior to police arrival. Responding officers were successful in locating the male involved in the event a short distance away from the residence.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 59-year-old male from PC-SP was arrested and charged with assault. He was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
