RNC Make Arrest Following Assault with Weapon

(St. John’s, NL), March 28, 2023 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services Division made an arrest in connection with an assault with a weapon in Mount Pearl last night.

On Monday, March 27, 2023, at approximately 11:25 pm, the RNC Operational Patrol Services Division (OPS) responded to a report of a disturbance in the roadway in the Dunn’s Road area of Mount Pearl. On arrival, officers determined that a female wielding a shovel attacked another female.

As a result of an investigation into the event, a 26-year-old female from Mount Pearl was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, property damage and failure to comply with a court order. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
