RNC Make Arrest Following Assault in St. John’s

(St. John’s, NL), December 2, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) have made an arrest in connection with an assault in St. John’s last night.

On Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at approximately 9:00 pm, officers with the RNC OPS responded to the area of Lemarchant Road in St. John’s in relation to a report of an assault that had just occurred. On arrival, officers located a female with visible injuries.

A short time later, as a result of an investigation in to the event, responding officers arrested and charged a 46-year-old male from St. John’s with assault with a weapon and failure to comply with court orders. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
