RNC Make Arrest Following Assault

(St. John’s, NL), August 24, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested a man yesterday afternoon after responding to a report of an assault.

On Monday, August 23, 2021, at approximately 1:15 pm, the RNC OPS responded to a report of an assault in progress in a residential area of Conception Bay South (CBS). On arrival, officers located a man outside a home who had visible injuries. Responding officers located the other party involved in the event a short time later.

As a result of an investigation in to the incident, a 48-year-old man from CBS was arrested and charged with uttering threats and assault. He was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
