RNC Make Arrest following a Robbery in the Metro Region

(St. John’s, NL), December 28, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and Operational Patrol Services (OPS) make an arrest in connection to a Robbery in St. John’s.

On December 26, 2022, at about 6:25 p.m. RNC OPS responded to the area of Water Street, St. John’s after a report of a robbery.

Members of RNC located the complainant, who reported to police that he had been robbed, threatened and assaulted in the area of Livingstone Street in St. John’s. The man reported that he had fled on foot to the area of Water Street, where he was able to contact police. The man sustained minor injuries during the incident and both parties were known to each other.

As a result of the investigation RNC identified the suspect as 25-year-old male, Peter CAMPBELL.

On December 27, 2022, at about 2:30 p.m. members of RNC CID and OPS arrested CAMPBELL in the area of Lemarchant Rd in St. John’s. The arrest occurred without incident.

CAMPBELL has been charged with Robbery, Forcible Confinement, Overcoming Resistance/Choking and Breach of Probation. CAMPBELL was held in custody to appear before a Judge in Provincial Court.
