RNC Make an Arrest Regarding Assault in Capital City

(St. John’s, NL), April 3, 2023 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) made an arrest following a disturbance at a residence in St. John’s yesterday.

On Sunday, April 2, 2023, at approximately 5:00 pm, the RNC Operational Patrol Services Division (OPS) responded to a report of a disturbance that had just occurred at a residence located in the east end of St. John’s. On arrival, officers located a male who had sustained minor injuries, believed to be a result of an assault.

Following an investigation in to the event, a 48-year-old male from St. John’s has been charged with assault. The accused was released to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.
