RNC Lay Multiple Charges Following Impaired Driving Investigation

(St. John’s, NL), November 13, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) laid an array of charges following an impaired driving investigation last night in Conception Bay South (CBS).

On Sunday, November 13, 2022, at approximately 9:10 pm, RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of a potential impaired driver near a restaurant on CBS Highway in CBS. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle in the area, proceeding to identify the operator. Officers launched an investigation related to impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

As a result of an investigation into the event, a 27-year-old male from CBS was arrested and charged with failure to stop at an accident scene, dangerous driving, impaired driving, refusal, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, uttering threats, and breach of court order. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
