RNC Lay Charges of Assault in Torbay

(St. John’s, NL), January 6, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a disturbance in Torbay yesterday evening, resulting in an arrest of a male.

On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at approximately 6:00 pm, the RNC OPS responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Torbay. Responding officers were informed that an adult male had assaulted a number of individuals inside the home. On arrival, officers located the male believed to be responsible on the property.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 42-year-old male from Torbay was arrested and charged with assault. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
