RNC Lay Charges Following West End Disturbance

(St. John’s, NL), August 16, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested a man in connection with a Friday night disturbance, also executing an outstanding warrant for his arrest..

On Friday, August 13, 2021, at approximately 7:50 pm, The RNC OPS responded to a report of a disturbance at an apartment complex in the west end of St. John’s. On arrival to the scene, responding officers observed significant property damage to the home.

As a result of an investigation, a 48-year-old man from St. John’s was arrested and charged with property damage and uttering threats. Officers also confirmed an outstanding arrest warrant was in effect for the accused. The man was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
