RNC Lay Charges After Responding to Disturbance

(St. John’s, NL), February 18, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) made an arrest following a west end disturbance in St. John’s overnight.

On Friday, February 18, 2022, at approximately 2:00 am, the RNC OPS responded to a report of property damage in progress at a residence located in west end of St. John’s. On arrival, officers located an individual believed to be involved, and also observed damage to property in the area.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, the 55-year-old male from St. John’s was arrested and charged with assault, property damage and uttering threats. The accused was released from custody to appear in court on a later date.
