RNC Lay Charge After Assault Investigation

(St. John’s, NL), September 8, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to an assault at a business in the east end of the capital city.

On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at around 11:20 am, the RNC OPS responded to a report of an assault which has just occurred at a business located in the east end of St. John’s. On arrival, officers met a male who had visible injuries. The suspect involved in this incident was known to the victim.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 23-year-old male from St. John’s been charged with assault. The accused was released to appear in court on a later date.
