RNC Labrador West Region Arrest Male for Assault

(CORNER BROOK, NL) – October 11, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Labrador West Region have arrested and charged a male in relation to an assault.   

On Thursday, October 11, 2018, at approximately 12:30 am officers with RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Churchill Falls.  It was reported that an adult female had been assaulted by an adult male; the accused and victim are known to each other.  The female victim was transported to Churchill Falls Community Clinic for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. 

As a result of the investigation, on Thursday, October 11, 2018, a 28 year old male resident of Happy Valley – Goose Bay was arrested and charged with one count each of Assault, Overcoming Resistance, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction and Mischief.  The male was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
