RNC Issues Public Advisory

(ST. JOHN’S, NL) August 14, 2017 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is issuing a public advisory regarding a male soliciting sexual activity from young females in St. John’s.

The RNC’s Child Abuse Sexual Assault Unit is investigating reports that a 30-year-old male has been approaching young females in a St. John’s park. This male is alleged to have misrepresented his age in an attempt to solicit sexual activity from the females.

The RNC wishes to advise the public of this investigation and is requesting anyone who has information that may assist in the investigation to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The RNC reminds the public to be vigilant and report all suspicious activity to the police or Crime Stoppers. You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
