RNC Investigating Partial Skeletal Remains

(St. John’s, NL), April 8, 2019 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Major Crime Unit is investigating partial skeletal remains located in Conception Bay South (CBS).

 

On April 6, 2019, just before 1:00 am, members of RNC Operational Patrol Services Division, Police Dog Service and Forensic Identification Services responded to a call for service in CBS where partial skeletal remains were found. The RNC Major Crime Unit, in consultation with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, have determined the remains to be quite old, and not believed to be related to any current missing person cases. The RNC does not have any concerns for public safety relating to this investigation.
