RNC Investigating Home Invasion

(St. John’s, NL), May 13, 2024– The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating a weekend home invasion in St. John’s.

Just before midnight on Friday (May 10), patrol officers responded to the area of Cowan Avenue where the occupants of a home reported being shot at by two masked intruders. A man was sent to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. This is believed to be a targeted attack.

Responding officers determined that two suspects had forced entry to the home presenting weapons. As they were wearing masks at the time, physical descriptions of the suspects are unavailable at this stage of the investigation.

The RNC is seeking any information, including video footage from the area between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
